McDonald's® Malaysia has initiated the Show Your Stripes, #DemiRMHC – I’m For The Kids campaign in an effort to raise funds to help Malaysia’s children in need through the sale of these striking red & white socks.



The Show Your Stripes socks are available at all McDonald's® outlets nationwide from now until it runs out. They can be purchased at RM10 each (GST included), and all the proceeds will be channeled to Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Malaysia.

Here is a little backstory about the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Malaysia. It was established in Malaysia in February 1990 as a non-profit organization and is part of 300 RMHC Chapters worldwide with a clear vision to enrich the lives of less fortunate children encouraging them to achieve their fullest potential through three areas: Health, Education and Welfare.



RMHC reaches out to children in need through 4 core programs, namely, the Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Gift of Smile, Ronald McDonald Sensory Room and Ronald McDonald Scholarship.

The Ronald McDonald House at the Pusat Perubatan Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia was the first one established in the ASEAN region in 1999 with the aim to provide a “home away from home” for families with children undergoing treatment at the hospital or surrounding area in Kuala Lumpur, giving them a comfortable temporary accommodation for RM5 per night.



Ronald McDonald Gift of Smile provides free corrective surgeries and follow-up treatment for children born with both cleft lip and palate. The Gift of Smile is in partnership with Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur and Pusat Perubatan Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (PPUKM).



The Ronald McDonald Sensory Room supports children with delayed mental development, providing multi-sensory equipment imported from the United Kingdom. Since 1999, RM1.6 million has been channeled to ensure the success of this program.



Last but not least is the Ronald McDonald Scholarship that financially assists students from low-income families with academic potential enabling them to pursue their studies with ease because education is meant for all.
